Moura Company Group starts with the setting up of a new enterprise

On the scope of the extending its businesses, the Moura Company group has just set up a new enterprise. It deals with Moura Company – Inert Maritime Transport, SA. The advertisement of this enterprise was given appearance in the BO number 49, III Series on December, 29th, 2009.

 The new Group enterprise aims at:

1. The Maritime Transport of Inert, containers and several cargoes; national coastal traffic and international transport of goods and merchandises.
2. The partnership is allowed to carry out all maritime activities and technical operations, directly or indirectly linked with all matters under its concerns;
3. The partnership, before the deliberation of its board of directors can acquire and alienate freely its share in the capital of other partnerships, even if they carry out several other concerns of its own or associate to other legal entities, in order to establish , namely partnerships, complementary grouping of enterprises, joint-ventures and partnerships through shares.

In order to increment its activities, the Moura Company – Maritime Transport of Inert, SA acquired recently, a boat with capacity to transport 3,500 tons of cargo. This boat is already in Cape Verde, coming from Morocco with a loading of sand for the national market and for civil work purpose. “We look forward to starting an activity that, of course, will settle out the problem of the lacking of sand for the sector of civil work. The  spacing of the displacement to Morocco is twice a month, what we think is reasonable for this first stage of businesses, in the meantime, beside the import of sand, the enterprise is holding in mind, on the other hand, the exporting of basaltic stones (cracked stone for road paving, parallel shaped stones and others), for our sub-region, namely, countries such as: Mauritania, Guine-Bissau, among others, secures Mr. Jaime Ferreira, the Commercial and Marketing Director for the new created enterprise. 

At this moment the boat is anchored in Sao Vicente awaiting the administrative formalities before, the national port authorities, which has to do with the disbanding and its consequent certification. Thus, we expect that up to the end of the current year everything related to this matter will be solved.
